D'Arcy's approach to the Art World is fun, lively and social. We don't believe you are able to sell work by artists that you do not know as people. Art is an extension of the artist, without getting too deep and analytical about individual artists, the finished painting is how the artist sees the world. Thankfully we know artists who present those visions in a pleasing style!! The artists we deal with are Contemporary; we find it's easier to get to know the living. The style of art is varied, but has a strong tendency towards vibrant colour, impressionistic land and seascapes, strong textured printmaking, little surprises around every corner. Our gallery operates from a charming 1740's building, situated in the oldest part of Cheltenham. There are two floors of gallery space, which are inviting and ever changing. D'Arcy showcases established artists and budding new talent via a series of exhibitions and shows throughout the year. Private Views and Open Evenings allow artists and collectors to mingle & chat in an informal atmosphere that has become a feature of the gallery. If you would like details of future events please join our mailing list. D'Arcy is also a small publishing house. Several of the artists we represent through the gallery, have images that we have published as Giclee Prints. These Fine Art Prints are Limited Editions, all of which are signed and numbered by the artist. See our Print Gallery for further details. Our framing service is carried out in our studio workshops.
